WHY WE ARE RESTORING LIFE TO THE OCEANS

We are working to overcome the three biggest challenges to life on earth.

CHALLENGE 1: CLIMATE CHANGE

Recognised as one of the major causes for disparity and threat to the very existence of life on our planet. Healthy coral reefs play an essential role in managing climates.

Background 1

Carbon Absorption

Our engineered reefs kick-start life and support the growth of flora (seagrass and algae) absorbing CO2.

Background 1

Oxygen Generation

Our engineered reefs revitalise and rejuvenate habitats. They flourish and produce O2 as a result.

CHALLENGE 2: BIODIVERSITY WITH HABITAT LOSS

Over the past 100 years, armed conflicts were the number one threat towards mankind. Now, habitat loss and destruction of biodiversity are seen as a major concern. Putting this into perspective, more than 60% of the global population depends entirely on seafood for all protein intake.

Background 2

Help replenish Marine Life

Our engineered reefs serve as a cradle for new life. More than 25% of all life in the planet’s oceans starts as a direct result of healthy coral reefs.

CHALLENGE 3: SOCIO-ECONOMIC INEQUALITY

Almost one billion people depend entirely on healthy coral reefs for their livelihoods. Reefs offer coastal protection, a wide variety of food sources, leisure and tourism income. Cultural traditions and beliefs have developed around them over thousands of years. Without healthy reefs, these people will be displaced.

Background 3

Sustainable Economies

Our engineered reefs will serve as a source of income, livelihood and food.

Our Mission

OUR MISSION

We build eco-reefs and harness big ocean data that give back endlessly.

Our Vision

OUR VISION

Resilient ocean systems that absorb carbon, generate oxygen, rebound with life, and support communities.

Our Values

OUR VALUES

Design technology that’s influenced by nature; Respect ecosystems and communities; Believe in positive futures; Take action now.

The ocean is a critically important source of nutritious food, income, inspiration and stability.
